Performance Koenraad Dedobbeleer at the Van Wassenhove House
Experience the lecture performance series Palais de la Folle Chanson by Koenraad Dedobbeleer at the Woning Van Wassenhove.
These 8 sessions, titled House Rules, curated by Ory Dessau, take the form of music sets referencing artists, architects, and musicians. The combination of music and lecture reflects the artist's concept of ‘social sculpture’, in which materials and forms are culturally charged and closely connected to language.
A custom made sound system functions both as a sculpture and as a device for transmitting music, while formally responding to the architecture of the house designed by Juliaan Lampens.
On occasion of the performance, Dedobbeleer developed a set of 8 editions inspired by the 1981 album Architecture & Morality by Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark.
Two time slots are organized each day, at 2 pm and 5pm.
Please park near Brakelstraat 7, Parking Huyze Waterloos.
