MDD's Sculpture garden offers highlights from the museum's rich history with important works by Paul Van Gysegem, Bernd Lohaus, Karel De Meester, Isa Genzken and Gary Hume.

A new addition to the sculpture garden is untitled 2018 (the infinite dimensions of smallness) by Rirkrit Tiravanija, the second in an annual series of temporary commissions for the museum garden.

In the garden around the museum, you can also spot beehives that produce the museum's own honey (which is for sale in the shop). The museum garden is also a perfect picnic spot for cyclists and hikers.
