In memoriam Sophie Lauwers

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Sophie Lauwers. Sophie was director of exhibitions at BOZAR since 2011 and became CEO of Bozar – Paleis voor Schone Kunsten on 15 October 2021.

Lauwers was a board member of the stichting mevrouw Jules Dhondt-Dhaenens since 2019. She used her thorough knowledge of the arts field without reserve to perpetuate and nurture the special place that MDD occupies in the art field.
