Sven ’t Jolle
Global Success Sharing

In 2003, the municipality of Sint-Martens-Latem won first prize in the competition A Home for a Sculpture, organized by the Province of East Flanders and Radio 2. The prize was a work by the artist Sven ’t Jolle. Ploegwerk or Global Success Sharing will be festively inaugurated on Sunday, April 25, on the grounds of the Museum Gevaert-Minne.

MDD found this a great opportunity to present a small selection of works that directly preceded this sculpture. Typical of ’t Jolle's work is the establishment of connections between social, political, cultural, and art-historical subjects. In his drawings, sculptures, and installations, he creates various playful and poetic associations that simultaneously do not shy away from a critical approach to reality.
