Artists and Friends: Kasper Bosmans & Martin Germann

As part of the ‘Artists and Friends’ series, in which an artist enters into conversation with a friend from a different field of work or discipline, we welcome artist Kasper Bosmans, for a conversation with curator and friend Martin Germann. This is also the last day of the exhibition ‘Stories from the Ground’.

During this session, Kasper Bosmans and Martin Germann will elaborate on various topics, including MDD's collection and the origins of their friendship. They will also offer insights into the concepts, ideas and themes shaping the ‘Stories from the Ground’ exhibition, as well as a discussion of how Kasper's work relates to the central theme of the exhibition and his broader body of work.

Kasper Bosmans (born 1990, Lommel, Belgium) is known for his multifaceted and investigative approach in his art practice. His work includes painting, sculpture and installations, often infused with historical, cultural and social references. Bosmans combines iconography and folk art with contemporary issues, exploring themes of identity, tradition and power. His recent works focus specifically on the relationship between humans and nature, with the ground as a symbol of connection and sustainability.

Clara De Decker of KLARA will moderate the conversation. Clara is known for her keen insights and engaging way of interviewing, which will guarantee a deep and enlightening conversation.
