Within Het Erf, Guillaume Bijl's Sorry-installation (2013–2023) extends the historical synergy between heritage and contemporary art in MDD.

Guillaume Bijl (1946, Antwerp) is known for his large-scale installations and visual realism. Bijl shows various aspects of western culture and its consumer society. Using extreme stereotypes, he creates an archeology of our time in a tragicomic, alienating way. His Sorry works take on different forms, always falling out of a banal reality, into the surreal.
